IBCC Equivalence Certificate 2026
If you studied O Level, A Level, IB, or another foreign/international qualification, Pakistani universities and boards will usually ask for an IBCC equivalence certificate before they’ll accept it. Here’s what it is and where to apply.
Why you need it
The Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) converts a foreign qualification — O Level results into a Matric-equivalent percentage, A Level results into an FSc/FA-equivalent percentage — so Pakistani universities can compare it against local board results on the same admission merit list.
Without this certificate, most Pakistani universities and even some scholarship programmes won’t process your application, since they can’t otherwise place a Cambridge/Edexcel grade on the same scale as a BSEK or FBISE percentage.
