HEC Scholarships Pakistan
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) runs several scholarship programmes for Pakistani students, from need-based support at public universities to fully funded study abroad. Here’s what each one actually covers, with the official link.
For financially disadvantaged students already admitted to one of around 98 participating public sector universities. Typically covers full or partial tuition fees plus a monthly stipend.
Support for meritorious but financially disadvantaged students, historically run with USAID funding, at partner universities.
Funded study within Pakistan, generally aimed at MS/MPhil and PhD-level research students at HEC-recognised institutions.
Fully or partially funded postgraduate study abroad, through bilateral agreements HEC holds with partner countries and universities.
