BSEK — the Board of Secondary Education Karachi — is the body that registers and examines Matric (Class 9 and 10) students across Karachi’s constituent colleges and schools affiliated with it. Every year, “BSEK registration” and “BSEK admission form” searches spike as Class 9 begins, because the process is handled through the school, not directly by the student.
What the school actually submits on your behalf
- Registration form with the student’s CNIC/B-form details, exactly as they appear on the original document
- Recent photographs in the format the board specifies
- Subject group selection (Science, Humanities/Arts, or Computer Science, depending on what the school offers)
- Registration fee, collected and forwarded by the school before the board’s deadline
What to double-check yourself
Spelling of your name and your father’s name exactly as on the B-form or CNIC — a mismatch here causes real problems later at the certificate stage. Confirm your subject group is what you actually intend to study through Matric; changing it after registration is far harder than getting it right the first time.
