CM Punjab Laptop Scheme
A Government of Punjab initiative that distributes free laptops to high-achieving students at public sector colleges and universities across the province.
What it is
Run by the Punjab Higher Education Department, the scheme has distributed laptops in phases (recent rounds have covered over 100,000 students) to students enrolled at public sector institutions in Punjab, selected on merit.
Where to apply or check status
- cmlaptophed.punjab.gov.pk — the scheme’s dedicated portal for registration and status
- hed.punjab.gov.pk — the Higher Education Department’s main site, which posts phase announcements and eligibility criteria
Applications only open during announced phases — if the portal shows the window closed, that means the current round has ended, not that the scheme itself has stopped. Check back for the next phase announcement.
